- Does it hurt? - Show Answer
....only when you lose! Actually, that’s true, but here is the answer you’re probably looking for… Every paintgun is checked for velocity before each day so that the paintballs are flying at less than 250 feet per second. At these speeds, the ball's impact is more startling than painful, something like the quick sting of a rubber band.
- Does the Paint Wash out? - Show Answer
Yes - the paint washes out of the hundreds of pairs of coveralls we use every week, thankfully.
- How many paintballs will I use? - Show Answer
Hmmm, the hardest question to answer, but I will try, average use last year was roundabout 500 paintballs on a half day and 600 on a whole day, though many customers used less, and of course we have the one or two who use a lot more. I would recommend a 300 paintball package at least for a half day, and 500 for a whole day.
- I am coming all day, is a meal provided? - Show Answer
Yes, and a good one at that, nothing fancy, but we do like to provide a good meal (for example we only use Heinz beans).
- If I wear glasses, will they mist up? - Show Answer
Most likely, but we provide anti mist solution and tissue for you to use, and we find as long as you follow the instructions, you will avoid misting up.
- What about Refreshments? - Show Answer
Due to the nature of this sport, there is NO ALCOHOL allowed. Tea and Coffee, soft drinks, bottled water and snacks are available to purchase. But feel free to bring your own drinks!
- What are the age limits? - Show Answer
We have to ask you not to bring anyone younger than 12 years ols, or in Year 7 at school, as our insurance will not provide the required cover. On the other end of the scale we have had several people in their Seventies playing including one lady.
- What are the guns like? - Show Answer
They are semi-automatic (fires each time you pull the trigger), gravity fed paint marker guns. They run off of a compressed air cylinder . These cylinders can provide close to 500 shots before they run out and will be refilled by the marshals when necessary. The guns are set up to hold up to 200 paintballs at a time and to shoot 2-3 paintballs per second. The paintguns, with cylinder and paintballs, weighs between 4 and 5 pounds. It's the size of an Air Rifle ("BB gun").
- What clothes should I wear? - Show Answer
Well - wear ones you won't mind getting dirty. I would advise against anything white. You may also wish to dress in layers - like a tee shirt and a sweat shirt - this way, if you get too hot or cold, you will have options available.
- What happens when I am hit with a Paintball? - Show Answer
If the ball breaks anywhere on you, you are eliminated from that game. Return to safe area and get ready for the next game.
