If you have ever watched the film then you will have a pretty good idea of the task in hand....
You are an American soldier, you are in a landing craft and your mission is to fight your way to the German base and save your fellow soldier "Private Ryan" once you have him, safely return him to your landing craft before you run out of time!
...meanwhile, those Germans are figting to capture your landingcraft and if they get inside.. then its game over!
